DQ381 is a seven-speed wet-clutch DSG. If gears are missing or the car jerks, note the symptoms and warnings. We check clutch operation, oil supply and transmission control.

Wet clutches and two pumps

DQ381 is a seven-speed transverse wet dual-clutch transmission. A mechanical oil pump works alongside an electric auxiliary pump. Oil supports clutches, hydraulic control and lubrication, so an oil-supply problem can produce several different messages without several parts necessarily failing.

0GC and 0DW are not interchangeable instructions

0GC is the design identifier used in European training and repair material. 0DW is associated with Chinese-market DQ381 applications; European 0GC procedures cannot automatically be applied. DQ381-7F and -7A distinguish front- and all-wheel-drive versions, not gearbox letter codes. DQ380 and DQ500 are separate families.

Sensors, pump control and slip

P173500/10666 and P173600/10668 concern clutch-position sensor electrical faults in specific software versions. P0C29/P0C2900 concerns auxiliary oil-pump control. A warning after an update does not by itself prove the update caused hardware damage. P0811/P081E slip descriptions do not distinguish wear from pressure or control faults alone.

Service depends on the vehicle

Neither a general 60,000 nor 120,000 km interval resolves every application. In the 0GC instructions, filter replacement has specific grounds such as metal particles or clutch damage; it is not automatically required at every oil change. Other all-wheel-drive units have separate servicing. An oil change alone is not a general reason to erase all adaptation values.

Diagnosis before repair

We need the car at our workshop for our own diagnostics. Earlier reports help us prepare, but the repair decision is based on our examination. We investigate the cause and assess whether a component can be repaired. A fault code alone does not determine which part needs replacing.

Include the registration number, mileage, symptoms and when they occur. Attach the complete fault report, previous estimate and repair history if available. Let us know whether the vehicle can be driven. You can contact us in Finnish, English or Swedish.

We discuss the findings, repair options and scope with you. You receive an estimate for approval before repair work begins. We normally use parts that we supply. AUNE repair terms apply.

Follow the vehicle’s warnings and owner’s manual. If drive is lost or the car behaves unpredictably, stop safely and arrange transport.
