DQ400e / 0DD guide

DQ400e / 0DD is a six-speed wet dual-clutch transmission for a transverse hybrid powertrain. K1 and K2 serve the driving gears; K0 connects or separates the combustion engine. A jolt when the engine starts must therefore be investigated as a powertrain transition, not simply as a gear change. Certain Golf GTE, Passat GTE, Audi A3 e-tron, Superb iV and SEAT/CUPRA plug-in hybrid versions use this family. The newer DQ400e evo for a 1.5 TSI hybrid is a development version, not proof of interchangeable parts.

P2884 / P288400 concerns the engine disconnect clutch remaining open. K0 control and available hydraulic pressure need checking before a clutch or mechatronics decision. P086700 can have different symptom identifiers, including 30097, 10860 and 10862. Keep them with the full report. P0841 concerns implausible pressure information; it does not on its own prove low actual pressure. A running electric oil pump does not prove adequate hydraulic output.

Identify the gearbox code, hardware, software and installed version. A long 0DD part number is not the gearbox letter code. Oil specification, filter work, filling procedure and service interval are vehicle-specific. Initial fill and service refill are different quantities. Basic settings, adaptation and software updates are different operations and do not repair a pressure leak.

We need the car at our workshop for our own diagnostics. Earlier reports help us prepare, but the repair decision is based on our examination. We investigate the cause and assess whether a component can be repaired. A fault code alone does not determine which part needs replacing.
