DQ500 is a seven-speed wet-clutch DSG. Jerking, slipping or a missing gear can have different causes. We identify the transmission and diagnose the fault before a repair estimate.

One family, several versions

DQ500 is a seven-speed transverse wet dual-clutch transmission used in selected Transporter, Tiguan, Arteon, Audi and Škoda applications. Model names and DSG/S tronic badges alone do not identify the transmission. 0BT, 0BH and 0DL are documented design identifiers; a combined 0BT/0DV manual heading does not settle an individual T6.1 vehicle’s version.

Fault codes need their full context

P176D00/10728 can refer to a regulation problem with gear actuator 4; the number does not simply mean fourth gear. P173500/10666 and P173600/10668 concern clutch-position sensor electrical faults in specific software versions. P175F00 concerns incomplete basic settings in certain 0BH/0BT versions. Supply the entire report, including symptom identifiers and controller details.

Service and repair are separate decisions

We check the current service schedule, oil and filling procedure for your car. A service interval for an older T5/0BT cannot simply be applied to every DQ500. Basic settings and software updates are different operations. Basic settings cannot repair wear, electrical faults or a loss of hydraulic pressure.

Diagnosis before repair

We need the car at our workshop for our own diagnostics. Earlier reports help us prepare, but the repair decision is based on our examination. We investigate the cause and assess whether a component can be repaired. A fault code alone does not determine which part needs replacing.

Include the registration number, mileage, symptoms and when they occur. Attach the complete fault report, previous estimate and repair history if available. Let us know whether the vehicle can be driven. You can contact us in Finnish, English or Swedish.

We discuss the findings, repair options and scope with you. You receive an estimate for approval before repair work begins. We normally use parts that we supply. AUNE repair terms apply.

Follow the vehicle’s warnings and owner’s manual. If drive is lost or the car behaves unpredictably, stop safely and arrange transport.
